J.v.G. technology GmbH, a global PV module company, announced that they have now finalized a Process Management Software for PV fabs, as another one of their turnkey manufacturing products. J.v.G. technology is a company that provides turnkey fabs with the most advanced German process in order to manufacture photovoltaic (PV) modules.
“This new software provides all the process information for J.v.G.’s PV module production lines. It allows our customers, especially startups, to achieve profitable yields and volumes with their new production lines even faster than they can now,” commented Mr. Rolf Drescher, Product Manager for software development at J.v.G. technology GmbH. Customers and startups will be able to achieve higher average module efficiency, reduce manufacturing costs and increase the quality of the modules significantly. J.v.G.’s software will give customers the best German equipment, combined with latest German module processes and now a factory process controlled by J.v.G.’s software.

J.v.G.’s software is the first yield management tool specifically designed to help PV manufacturers maximize the efficiency of their modules, as well as optimize their production processes.
Additionally, the software helps customers optimize stock planning and produce delivery notes and invoices automatically.
In the case of any failures in the modules or reduced power rates, it’s now very easy to find the reasons for the issues, by leveraging the enclosed database for assistance. With the barcode, you can find out exactly which materials have been used, as well as all the parameters in the production of that module.
Although this software builds on Rolf Drescher’s general software expertise, it was also designed from the ground up to accommodate the specific needs of PV module manufacturing. Using J.v.G.’s solar products, PV production leaders and process engineers can monitor the status of multiple production lines, analyze different pathways through the process and material variations, evaluate individual steps in the process and different variables/parameters, compare batches of incoming material with process and material lists, discover correlations and chart trends to maximize module efficiency and quality and process yield.
J.v.G.’s software stores data for every step of the manufacturing process from every machine, including stringer, washer, layup, busing, laminator, EL, Hipot, framer and flasher. Highly efficient analysis, statistical process control, and a knowledge database for automated root cause analysis – all of these deliver critical information to the right people quickly.
Also included is a shift leader software component, which allows the shift leader to monitor and control the entire factory, even from home via the internet.
