14.06.2016 – The facility has been in construction for months; a modern solar plant with a capacity of up to 50 megawatts has now been completed in Pristina in cooperation with the Bavarian J.v.G. technology GmbH. Consequently, Jaha Energy is the largest manufacturer of solar modules in the region. The big moment came the week before last: 200 guests from politics and business came together on 2nd June to hear the starting signal for production at J.v.G. Jaha Energy in Pristina.
Everyone eagerly awaited the moment at which the machines were set into operation. Among them were Parliamentary President Kadri Veseli, the German Ambassador Angelika Viets and the Minister for Labour and Social Affairs Arban Abrashi. After weeks of meticulous preparation, everything ran seamlessly.
Managing Director Gazmend Haxholli, principal shareholder Fadil Hoxha and Hans Thoma, Managing Director of J.v.G. technology, share an optimistic outlook for the future; this region offers positive conditions for solar technology.
Modules are exclusively manufactured to DESERT quality. The technical specifications of the whole plant are impressive, a high-speed layup with 120 MW is installed and a double line is in operation.
J.v.G. Jaha Energy GmbH was also able to break a world record with the 360 watt DESERT module – two world-record-breaking modules have been produced.
The young company is also a partner of EMPOWER. Together, the two partners are set to actively press ahead with what is known as the 100,000 roofs initiative, which aims to promote the use of renewable energy and increase energy efficiency in Kosovo.
